Event Photographer, Diablo magazine
Diablo magazine seeks sharp-eyed photographers to take pictures at East Bay fundraisers. Located in Walnut Creek, Diablo showcases various events around the East Bay in its glossy, monthly magazine. The party photographers are responsible for taking dozens of lively shots, and getting the names of everyone in each picture. We will interview potential photographers. A portfolio is a plus. Editorial Intern, Diablo magazine
Diablo magazine welcomes interns to assist editors with producing the monthly city/regional magazine. Primary duties are research and fact-checking, with opportunities for reporting and copyediting. Proposing story ideas and taking on more responsibility, depending on experience, is encouraged. Minimum 10 hours per week required for three to six months. Preferred background: English and journalism majors or graduate level students with writing and editing experience. Familiarity with the San Francisco/East Bay Area is a definite plus. Diablo Publications is looking for highly motivated interns to assist the editor and marketing director in producing our award-winning publications (including Napa Sonoma, Design for Living, Concierge East Bay, Concierge Wine Country, and Destination Oakland, along with a variety of special advertising sections for Diablo magazine. Primary duties are research and fact-checking, with opportunities for reporting, writing, and other responsibilities, depending on experience. Our interns have the unique opportunity to be closely involved in all levels of magazine production, from participation in editorial meetings and working with editors to computer production editing and helping report on happenings around the Bay Area. Minimum 10 hours per week required for three to six months. Preferred background: English and journalism majors or graduate-level students with writing and editing experience. Familiarity with the San Francisco/North Bay/East Bay areas is a definite plus.
